It was evening. The moon rose high in silverpelt. Underneath the stars was the communal gathering of the Thunderclan after a hearty dinner. Newleaf had brought an abundance of prey and such blessings were capitalised upon. All was well.
Breezetail observed the proceedings of her beloved clan. Given how there had not been any sick cats to attend to, the medicine cat had spent the day foraging for various medicinal herbs to restock her supplies. Her journey had been longer and more convoluted than necessary owing to the she-cat's adventurousness and tendency to wander off the beaten track. The downside to so much exploration was that her paws ached something fierce and there was nothing she wanted more at the moment except to join her extended family in their customary tongue sharing.
The fluffy she-cat padded over to the nearest cat and would began to nestle next to them, inviting herself to groom their pelt.
(( Anyone is free to play as this 'nearest cat'. I want this to be a huge group thread of Thunderclanners! ))

like climbing ivy i will not let go ♥ The sounds of soft purring and eating filled the ThunderClan hollow, and it was music to Ivystar’s ears. Leaf Bare always brought with it a constant anxiety, fear of illness or starvation or unbearable cold. But now that was behind them, and every mouth had enough to eat in the warming evening air. Ivystar was simply observing for now, gazing over her clan with pride in her eyes as she waited for them to eat before going to pick her share. As she watched, a cat padded over to nestled close, beginning to drag their tongue soothingly over the back of her neck. “Good evening, Breezepelt,” Ivystar smiled before their medicine cat’s herby scent had even hit her nose. She was the only cat who could ever be so bold as to groom Ivystar…and the only cat that Ivystar would let do so for that matter. Shifting so she could return the favor, Ivystar licked down the tufts of fur at Breezepelt’s chest, nipping out some small burrs that had caught during her daily hunt for herbs. “How has your day gone? Anything to note?” she asked, already confident the answer would be nothing to concern themselves over. StarClan had been silent for some time, but it was a comforting silence, not a fearful one. Peace seemed to have settled over the forest, and Ivystar wanted it to last as long as possible. ooc:

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]The time to share tongues and finally fill his belly after a long day's undertaking was one of Thrushcloud's favorite moments. After a happy trot to the fresh-kill pile, where he'd picked up a finch, he would take a swift glance around camp. He discovered his oculars were trying to identify one certain pelt: one that was white and as glistening as snow. But Fogfur wasn't currently in view and a few other similar pelts did well in getting his hopes up. Maybe she hadn't returned yet? Or, perhaps, she was eating privately somewhere with her kids?
He shook his head, trying to push away the surprising letdown; his mind deciding to focus instead on the fresh-kill scent strongly and deliciously radiating into his nostrils. He'd settle down somewhere near, but a bit distant, from Breezetail and Ivystar as the sight of them stroked his interest. It wasn't often he saw another grooming their leader's pelt: she didn't seem the cuddly sort, as far as he had observed in his fifteen moons. Yet she had taken to their Medicine Cat as naturally as he would to just about anyone. But there was a special bond there, wasn't there? Between the Medicine Cat and a Leader of any Clan?
Quietly admiring that mysterious connection, Thrushcloud began to dig his fangs into the tasty finch he'd picked out. Taking slow and careful bites in order to enjoy every savory morsel. All the while feeling a great source of gratefulness toward it's sacrifice and the sustenance it provided. With that in mind, he'd make sure not to waste a single piece in honor of it's service.
Summary: Looked around for Fogfur, was disappointed not to see her. Settles down near Ivystar and Breezetail to savor a finch while marveling at the connection between any MC and Leader. shadows still linger of you ♥ Though her muscles ached, it was with a satisfying sort of exhaustion that Fogfur padded into camp, returning with the last patrol before the long night. It was her preference to go on more than one patrol a day, more than that even if she could swing it. And while some of that may have been out of duty to her clan…Fogfur knew she’d be lying to herself if she said it had been the only reason. Still, though she enjoyed patrolling, there was great comfort in returning to camp. Her eyes searched first for Snowpaw and Slatepaw, finding the two of them eating together and chattering with the other apprentices. It filled her heart with a bittersweet ache, and for a moment she wondered if she should go speak to them. But no…they were with their friends and she wanted to allow them their space to be independent. Instead she went to the prey pile and picked a thrush, looking further around the clearing for someone (no one in particular, no, not at all) to eat with. Spotting Thrushcloud sitting near Breezepelt and Ivystar, she gave a curious blink, wondering if he had something in particular to speak to their Leader and Medicine Cat about. Trotting over, she set her meal down beside him, stretching her forearms before settling down to eat wordlessly. ooc: Juliet - I-it's not like I came because you called or anything//// [/quote]

"Evening Ivystar," Breezetail returned the greeting to her aunt, waving her tail contently behind her. It was pleasant warm, owing that fact that two she-cats were abnormally fluffy Maine coons.
"Nothing much. I went to collect some lavender that grow close to the riverbank." She said, recalling the day's events. She had groomed herself to ensure that the floral scent didn't cling too closely to her pelt, but she could not guarantee that it wasn't entirely unnoticeable.
A low purr emanated from deep within her throat as Ivystar began licking her chest, the gentle rhythmic licks being very comforting. She rolled onto her side to make the process easier. In her peripheral vision, she saw that Fogfur and Thrushcloud were nearby. For some reason, her chest tightened slightly. She tried to ignore the feelings by continuing to speak with her aunt.
"How about you?" Ivystar Thrushcloud fogfur

like climbing ivy i will not let go ♥ “Lavender, good,” Ivystar said knowingly, despite the fact she really had no idea what use lavender was to the clan. She had long since learned she had no talent at remembering all the different types of medicines, but she didn’t want her clan thinking she was completely ignorant. “Nothing of note at all,” she replied when Breezetail asked her question, a smug purr touching the words. It brought her great pride, the length of time that had passed filled with only peace and growing. She hoped only that a queen might announce she was with kits soon, now that the weather had warmed and prey filled days were ahead. Glancing over, she noted that Thrushcloud had joined them, with Fogfur close behind. She was pleased with the young tom, and how he had risen to the unexpected responsibility of being a mentor so soon. “Thrushcloud,” she regarded the warrior, “How did your patrol go with your apprentice?” ooc: Thrushcloud Breezetail

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]Thrushcloud had been so enamored by picking apart his meal that he had failed to notice the familiar ivory she-cat until her scent was suddenly overwhelming his senses. His body would even give a jolt, gifting surprise to his eyes as he turned to see Fogfur settle down next to him with the bird that matched his pelt. Choking, he'd give a flustered greeting, “H-hey Fogfur,” a cough and a rough voice forced through, as the finch hit his throat wrong.
He was still coughing when Ivystar addressed him, his eyes mildly watered as he turned to her. He tried his best to blink away the natural reaction to having your breath taken away – literally and figuratively – quickly attempting to put himself back into “proper” Warrior mode.
“It went well,” he swallowed hard, pleased the minor choking fit had passed just in time, “Foxpaw has so much potential!” In no time, a deep purr was permeating from the young warrior, “He's incredibly intelligent and though sometimes that intellect stands in the way of some things, I think in the end he'll be splendid and beloved ThunderClan Warrior.” [attr="class","reasontag"] fogfur Breezetail Ivystar - rip, hopefully his smooth choking is impressive to viewing she-cats [googlefont=Fjalla One][newclass=.reason]width:400px;padding:5px;border:5px #f5a742 solid;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod]padding:20px;font-family:Arial;font-size:11px;line-height:14px;text-align:justify;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod b]color:#f5a742;[/newclass][newclass=.reasontag]background-color:#fac175;padding:10px;font-family:verdana;font-size:9px;line-height:12px;text-align:center;color:#fff;letter-spacing:1px;border:2px #f5a742 solid;[/newclass]

like climbing ivy i will not let go ♥ Ivystar had to keep herself from rolling her eyes as Thrushcloud practically choked on his dinner. It seemed obvious to everyone but the she-cat herself that he was smitten with her, but Ivystar predicted it would be a good few moons before Fogfur either opened her eyes, or Thrushcloud’s attentions moved elsewhere. Though she had no patience for such frivolities, she was pleased with his report on Foxpaw. Apprentices were important to the clan, and Foxpaw had been a troublemaker as a kit. “Good to hear,” she praised, “I seem to recall another apprentice too smart for his own good. A little direction will keep him out of trouble.” ooc:

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]Thrushcloud's pelt briefly flushed at Ivystar's comment, having not expected the compliment from their esteemed Leader. Though, it wasn't like it was the first time. So perhaps it was because “everyone” was watching.. the eyes that mattered, anyways. He'd managed to chuckle lightly in return, however, his big-boy-pelt still managing to stay on. “I hope so, yeah. He's definitely showing improvement from those troublesome ways.”
His amber oculars tilted away from Ivystar then, toward Fogfur, “Speaking of apprentices.. how are Snowpaw and Slatepaw?” It'd been a while since he'd spoken to Fogfur.. well, “a while” in his perspective, since their accidental encounter with a dog and well-placed tunnel. A few words here and there, but nothing as close or in depth as that fated day. Which, he had found, was.. noticeably distressing. He'd known she lost her mate somewhat recently, Silverclaw, to a border scuffle turned wrong. Something which ignited his heart with sympathy and a drive to want to see her happy, despite the tragedy.
If only things could be that easy, though, eh?

shadows still linger of you ♥ Fogfur greeted Thrushcloud with a blink, amused by his sputtering. He was a charming fellow, and it felt nice to have someone to keep company again, especially since her kits were well distracted with their training. Eating a few bites to stave off the worst of her hunger, she listened as he reported to Ivystar about Foxpaw’s training. “He seems to have potential,” she commented approvingly, contributing that quietly to Thrushcloud’s natural talent as a mentor. His question made her sigh, a bit wistfully. It was true what they said about kits, that you never really appreciated having them small until they weren’t anymore. “Good, I believe. Giving their mentors plenty of trouble,” she huffed good naturedly, “Snowpaw doesn’t listen but when she applies herself she shows talent. Slatepaw is more steady.” ooc: [/quote]
