[attr="class","appCATEGORY"]PERSONALITY
[attr="class","appBAR"]
[attr="class","appFIELD"]Lionstar is a cat of a complex personality. Each of her traits developed, and fine tuned by her life experiences. Like many cats, her traits create an intricate dynamic within her, both positive and negative traits coexisting in the balance.
Clever: Possibly one of the most valuable traits this she-cat has is being clever. It has helped her survive her moons of life, and brought her towards her goals faster. She can read cats and situations better than most, a trait refined by experiences with cats that have broken her trust before. She knows what to look out for in most circumstances, and uses this ability to her advantage to keep herself, and RiverClan safe from potential threats.
Ambitious: As many cats are in roles of authority, Lionstar achieved her status by means of ambition. The fiery she-cat always had an ambitious streak, allowing nothing to stand in the way of her goals and plans in life. She envisions the things she wants, and puts in relentless effort to manifest her desires. In many ways this positive trait will see that RiverClan thrives for moons to come.
Dedicated: Perhaps this trait goes hand-in-hand with being ambitious, as the two possibly correlate to each other. Lionstar is dedicated in many aspects of her life. She is a dedicated mother to her adult kits, Goldenfur and Flameblaze. She is dedicated to her goals, never giving up on them or letting her dreams die. She is dedicated to her clan, putting the needs of her clan mates at the top of her priorities. RiverClan is her life, and everything Lionstar does is for the greater good of the clan.
Protective: They say a mother's love is one of the most fiercest emotions to exist. Lionstar feels an undying, burning, protective instinct for her clan as much as she does for her own biological kits. The she-cat takes her nine lives seriously, with the intent of using each and everyone of them protecting her clan.
Charismatic: Lionstar is easily a charming cat, especially in terms of negotiating for her clan. She is charismatic, and sociable, though it is more of a forced trait and not one that comes as naturally as the rest. She mostly uses her charisma in terms of political gain, and creating healthy relationships for RiverClan.
Abrasive: On the flip side of the coin, you get to her more negative traits. Lionstar isn't the type to beat around the bush. She expresses her opinion in vary straightforward ways, that sometimes aren't the most tactful. While many in her clan may find her demeanor to be abrasive at times, she comes from a well-meaning place that is sometimes off putting to others.
Aloof: Although not a dominant trait of hers, Lionstar has a tendency to be aloof at times. During times of high stress, or when her bottled up grief starts to resurface, she has a distant, and cool personality towards others. She never learned how to manage her negative emotions well, so in turn it leads her to break away from others while she sorts through the things her head. The she-cat is still able to fulfill her clan duties during this time, but in turn her interpersonal relationships suffer.
Egotistical: To an extent, Lionstar is egotistical deep down, probably one of her greatest faults. She perceives herself highly for all the obstacles she overcame in her life, and for how far she has risen in her clans hierarchy. The she-cat also views RiverClan as one of the greatest clans in the forest, and takes a lot of pride in their history and heritage. While she isn't outspoken about these beliefs, it is sometimes apparent in the way she carries and handles herself.
Insistent: Possibly relative to being egotistical, Lionstar is a very insistent cat. She has very rigid beliefs and ideas for the way things should go, and there exist little room for ideas that don't fit her mold. She assumes she knows what is best for everyone, and although it comes from good intentions, it can be overbearing at times. Though it is a usually negative quality, it has benefited the clan on a few occasions. There is always a sense of direction with Lionstar, and in any circumstance they face, she leads them to an objective, whatever it may be.
Calculating: One of this cat's crueler traits is how calculating she can be. When faced with obstacles, she calculates a way to overcome them. Most of the time without emotions attached to the situation. If anything threatens her own well-being, or that of RiverClan, she can rather ruthlessly find a means to an end. While she is charismatic and warm toward other clans and leaders at the gatherings, she views them very much as her enemies and will treat them as such in battle.

[attr="class","appCATEGORY"]HISTORY
[attr="class","appBAR"]
[attr="class","appFIELD"]Lionstar's beginning was very much like most cats. She was born to two senior, respected warriors of RiverClan named Paleflower and Russetclaw. The two warriors had been in love for a long time, and had wanted a family for years though they had trouble conceiving a litter of kits. Right when the two cats were about to give up on having a family, Paleflower discovered she was pregnant.
The pair was over joyed at the prospect of being new parents. Russetclaw immediately made accommodations for his mate to settle into the nursery probably a lot earlier than most queen's would. The tom doted affectionately over his mate, making sure her needs were met. A couple moons later, Paleflower went into labor. One single kit was born in the only litter the two would have. While the two wished for more kits, they were more than happy to have their daughter born healthy.
Russetclaw named his new daughter Lionkit, for her pale ginger pelt that was identical to her mothers. The three cats made up a happy family. The earliest days of Lionkit's life were filled with unconditional love and affection. Six moons approached sooner than expected, and Lionkit was named Lionpaw, and apprenticed to an older warrior of the clan named Foxshade. Her parents beamed on with pride during the ceremony, as their daughter reached this next milestone of her life.
It was well known that Lionpaw was going to be the last apprentice Foxshade took on before retiring to the elders den. He had trained many cats in his life, and knowing that Lionpaw was going to be the last, he was more stern with her in an attempt to bring out her fullest potential. The training was rigorous, yet Lionpaw tried everything to preform her best to please Foxshade. It was from his influence where most of her personality traits developed.
Halfway through her apprenticeship, tragedy struck. A sickness took hold of the clan during a harsh Leaf-Bare. Many lives were lost in the clan that Leaf-Bare, even otherwise young and healthy cats, due to the shortage of prey and herbs. Among the lives that were lost that season were her parents Paleflower and Russetclaw. As a young apprentice, Lionpaw could barely process what was happening to her or the vast magnitude of the loss. During this time she spiraled into inconsolable grief.
While Foxshade was sympathetic to her circumstances, he didn't fail to remind her that life goes on, and doesn't pause for anyone. Although nothing could alleviate the pain she was experiencing, Foxshade pushed her to see toward her goals and to still find means of accomplishing them despite her trial in life that she was facing.
At first, the young apprentice was not receptive at all to the ideas. She saw the tom as cold, and debated requesting a new mentor for some time. Eventually, she was able to see his perspective. It was at this moment where she was able to come out of the other side of her grief. While she would never get over the pain of that loss, she was able to come to terms with it and make room for it, and understood she could not put her life on hold.
After training hard for eight moons the day finally came for Lionpaw to become a warrior. She was given the name Lionfire, for the spark inside of her that nothing could extinguish. Foxshade cheered her name the loudest with pride. The two cats had grew close over the moons and were like family to each other now. A couple moons after Foxshade retired to the elders den, and Lionstar still frequently visits the tom; bringing him food and sharing tongues with him. Although he could never replace Russetclaw, he still became a father figure of sorts for the she-cat's life.
Not long after being made a warrior, Lionfire fell in love with another young tom of the clan named Flintclaw. The young tom was a very likable cat, and extremely flirtatious. It didn't take much for Lionfire to fall under his spell. The two cats became inseparable, barely ever having a moment apart. To no surprise, Lionfire ended up pregnant very early on in their relationship. While she was ecstatic about expecting kits, Flintclaw wasn't too thrilled by the news.
Although it crushed Lionfire, she took it with a grain of salt. She knew the tom was young, and decided to give him space to come around while she focused on transitioning into the nursery. For once her life was seemingly coming together. She was happy and she doubted anything could ruin it. Unfortunately, her life seemed to fall short of happy endings.
Half way through the pregnancy Flintclaw came to her and confessed he was no longer in love with her, and believed to be infatuated the entire time until the news of expecting kits hit him. He admitted he felt too young to be a father, and was already seeing another she-cat. Lionfire was crushed, and could feel waves of grief come crashing down on her again. Unlike with her parent's deaths, she pulled through much quicker this time.
The objective she chose to focus on was her kits, and being the best mother she possibly could before returning to her warrior duties for RiverClan. Although she tried to remain strong like she did through everything in her life, everything she went through was starting to take it's toll. It's from here that the she-cat had developed her cold, distant personality traits, leading to her abrasive and calculated nature.
Not long after her kits were born. A pale ginger she-kit that she named Goldenkit, and a dark ginger tom she named Flamekit. For the next six moons she pushed everything off of her mind and focused on the two bundles of fur in front of her. She adored the kits, and knew they would be the only kits she would ever have, as she swore off ever falling in love again. For those six moons all of her pain seemed to erase, nothing in the world seemed more perfect than Goldenkit and Flamekit. It was one of the only times in her life that she was flawlessly happy. She embraced being a queen, knowing the role would be just a brief segment of her life.
As much as she wasn't ready to leave this new phase of life behind her, six moons came up quickly. She beamed on with pride as her kits were named Goldenpaw and Flamepaw. Flintclaw watched along from the outskirts of the ceremony with his new mate, not cheering on with the rest of the crowd as the kits were assigned mentors.
Lionfire swiftly readjusted to warrior life and immediately started setting goals for herself. Since she had decided to never fall in love, or have a relationship with a cat again, she decided she would find purpose in other avenues. Foxshade had taught her that you could never set your goals to high as long as you had a plan to get there, and she took that advice to heart. The next goal she had for herself was rising in the ranks of her clan and becoming deputy.
After moons of training apprentices, and serving her clan restlessly, her goal was eventually reached as the previous deputy stepped down to retire. The moment was surreal, although she expected to reach this status, she still couldn't believe it. Her kits were adults now, Goldenfur and Flameblaze. The two cheered on alongside Foxshade as she was given her new title, and duties within the clan. With her family's love and undying support, Lionfire knew she could accomplish anything she put her mind to.
Lionfire quickly formed a healthy partnership with Dimstar, a senior she-cat at the lead of RiverClan. Much of what Lionstar learned about leadership came from Dimstar, and the two easily became best friends through their mutual love of serving their clan.
Dimstar, however, was an older cat on her last life. Near the end of Leaf-Bare, Dimstar succumbed to illness much like how Lionfire's parents did many moons prior. Lionfire grieved in despair, quickly learning that life was nothing but a tragedy in the making. She held vigil beside her fallen leader before making the journey the next day to receive her new name and nine lives.
During her visit with StarClan, Dimstar, Paleflower, and Russetclaw were three of the cats assigned to give nine lives to her. Dimstar granted her diligence with her life, so that she may always do what she thinks is right for the sake of RiverClan. Paleflower granted her a mother's love, so that she may love her clan with the same conviction and compassion that a mother loves her kits. With the life Russetclaw granted her, he bestowed resilience, so that she may withstand any of the many storms of life.
With her new name, and gifted lives to serve her clan, Lionstar returned to RiverClan to embark on yet again another change in her life, and the duties that come with her new position. Upon arrival, she named a new deputy to secure their hierarchy once more. While she's nervous about this role having received it much earlier than she ever expected, she is excited about the prospects of life yet to come. After achieving this goal, Lionstar craves setting more for herself. Becoming leader gave her the confidence that she is strong willed enough to accomplish anything.

[attr="class","appOOCfield"]Goldenfur, Flameblaze, Foxshade, and Flintclaw are all characters I eventually plan to put up for adoption. <3 Tagging Blithe to check over the application since it's for a high rank. <3 Leader Blurb: Lionstar is known for her diplomatic ways of handling situations. She has confidence and charisma, and uses both for political gain. The she-cat has a no-nonsense attitude, and is very straightforward with her ideas and expectations. A natural goal setter, she doesn't have patience for those within her clan that don't work in the direction of the greater good for the clan that she does. While she heavily frowns upon cross-clan relationships, she has a lot of respect for cats that can come forward and admit they've done wrong and broken the warrior code. When someone comes forward about their relationships, instead of having it discovered, she is far more open-minded about letting their mate join RiverClan should they swear loyalty and allegiance to them alone. She detests rogues, however, and would never allow a rogue into the ranks of RiverClan. Although skeptical, she would be open-minded to allowing kittypets and loners into the clan if they show potential to adapting to the roles and structure of clan life. Clan relations: RiverClan has a POSITIVE relationship with ThunderClan. The two share a healthy relationship since RiverClan aiding them after a fire ravaged their territory. RiverClan has a NEUTRAL relationship with ShadowClan. With how spaced apart their territories are, the two clans never bump into each other, thus so far have little to no issues to address. RiverClan has a NEUTRAL relationship with WindClan, although Lionstar is the least fond of them out of the three other clans. |
