[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]DISCLAIMER: Potential grown up implications? Vague, so who really knows? (:
When Shadpaw had allowed his footfalls to tediously take him along the river's edge, he hadn't expected to run into the startling image of his Mother and another tom. An image that, as his new-leaf toned eyes settled upon the pair of them, couldn't help but birth his blinks of surprise and... amusement?
His mother — the epitome of nag — looked horrified to have been discovered in such a way. And the tom, Falconfang..? seemed to of not noticed him yet. Still, Shadpaw felt a purr tickle his chest, terribly entertained by the look in his mother's eyes: the shame, the panic. All of which he quickly realized would be good ammunition against her one day, even if only used for their own private banter.
Continuing to slink forward, the teen's taunting optics shifted toward the tom, curious to see his reaction to being interrupted. He'd know the male as having been Ashblaze's ex-mentor, but beyond that they hadn't really been personally involved. So, how would the ex-mentor of such a supreme cat behave? Shadpaw's curiosity, and audacity, pushed on – the temptation of such a fine treat for a meet and greet proving to be literally irresistible. Falconfang was a tom with needs – primal needs that needed to be fulfilled. Fortunately, his little plaything never failed to disappoint. The river edge was the prime location for him to capture this particular sort of prey. As he unashamedly conducted his foul deed, mud from the riverbank clung to his fur and matted his otherwise handsome tabby coat, giving him an almost feral appearance that more reflected the monster within his heart.
Too caught up in the ecstasies of passion, the tom failed to notice the newcomer until it was too late. Adrenaline still coursing through his veins, Falconfang wasted no time in tossing Birchtail aside like a piece of trash, where the defeated creature lay shivering and sobbing silently in the mud. All attention was now directed towards this troublesome apprentice. There was a heartbeat of silence as Falconfang's dilated pupils locked onto green ones. Then, recognition of this particular apprentice's heritage. But Falconfang knew not of Shadpaw's scorn of his mother, and assumed the opposite.
As swift and precise as a viper, the tom pounced forwards, claws outstretched. Etched onto his mien was cold deliberation. This intruder must be silenced.

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]Witnessing his mother being discarded like the bones of fresh-kill awoke an amused twitch within his whiskers. Unfortunately, however, the reaction of the leaf-eye'd tom was less than pleasant. He could see the violence, the malice, laden within the older tom's eyes as he lunged at him. Which immediately stirred his own self-preservation to kick into high gear: he leap sideways immediately, attempting to dodge the seemingly feral action.
..Yet, he knew. He knew Falconfang's intentions. His reasons. He'd just been caught in a sin and he didn't want to it be let out into the public. And Shadpaw could only surmise that because he understood it. He himself would want to protect his own reputation too, if it was ever compromised. Because of that, as he lunged to the side, he'd let his voice carry out, loud enough to be heard, “I don't care what you're doing! That wench isn't worth two seconds of my consideration!” [newclass=.reason]width:400px;padding:5px;border:5px #4848a8 solid;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod]font-style:regular;padding:20px;font-family:times;font-size:12px;line-height:14px;text-align:justify;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod b]color:#4848a8;font-style:italic;[/newclass][newclass=.reasontag]background-color:#7d7da8;padding:10px;font-family:verdana;font-size:9px;line-height:12px;text-align:center;color:#fff;letter-spacing:1px;border:2px #4848a8 solid;[/newclass]

If it wasn't clear that Falconfang was a monster, the sheer fact that he would not hesitate to silence his own son would confirm it. But his paws found emptiness as Shadpaw dodged to the side. Falconfang landed in the dirt, skidding slightly as he wasted no time in spinning around to keep Shadpaw within view.
He was ready to pounce once more when his son's words registered in his fevered mind. And for a moment he hesitated. Falconfang stared piercingly into Shadpaw's eyes and for several long tense seconds, he did nothing. But his sharp green gaze was intense and striking. But Falconfang could see it. The familiar potential for darkness in the apprentice. The same darkness which he had once seen in Ashblaze. And the same that dwelled within Falconfang's twisted heart. At that moment, Falconfang knew that Shadpaw spoke the truth.
But he would not let it be known that he was so quick to trust. Suddenly, he would strike out to swipe a large paw against Shadpaw's hide with the intention to knocking him to the side. Whilst his claws were sheathed, his strength was not restrained.
"And why should I trust you?" He commanded coldly, his serpentine tail lashing from side to side.

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbod"]His words had been enough to pause the larger tom, but would they do their work? His muscles tensed in preparation for another attack, as his own striking emeralds stared into Falcon's. He didn't want to fight the buffer feline, knowing all too well his own current shortcomings. But, he was too intrigued to simply run away. For that reason alone, Shadpaw allowed the paw swipe to come, knowing that that alone wouldn't be enough to end his life, but it could be enough to satisfy Falconfang.
With a silent reaction, his knees would buckle, causing him temporarily to be knocked down: his claws and fangs ready to latch onto the tom if he decided to continue.
But he didn't.
Pleased, Shadpaw purred out, “You didn't see me running to her rescue, did you? Surely a cat who cared would've interrupted your little.. dalliance.” [newclass=.reason]width:400px;padding:5px;border:5px #4848a8 solid;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod]font-style:regular;padding:20px;font-family:times;font-size:12px;line-height:14px;text-align:justify;[/newclass][newclass=.reasonbod b]color:#4848a8;font-style:italic;[/newclass][newclass=.reasontag]background-color:#7d7da8;padding:10px;font-family:verdana;font-size:9px;line-height:12px;text-align:center;color:#fff;letter-spacing:1px;border:2px #4848a8 solid;[/newclass]

Falconfang was satisfied that his authority went by uncontested, at least for now. Thus, he allowed the apprentice to speak, remaining coldly reserved towards him. This expression soon morphed into an unabashed smirk at Shadpaw's description of his deed.
"Indeed I did not. He conceded, before tilting his head to look at his spawn inquisitively. "And what do you make of it?" Now that the threat was temporarily abated, Falconfang demonstrated his adaptability by making himself comfortable, sitting on his haunches and curling his tail around his paws.
