he shivered one last time as his leader sat calmly beside him. vipereye was a jumpy cat to begin with, especially around other cats that weren't ashblaze. but recently, with coyotehaze at his side, his strength and confidence had begun to grow. he would have to tell lionstar about coyotehaze soon, but not today. if she wanted to have a relaxing time, then he would give her a relaxing time. there was no need to bring up stressful decisions now was there?[break][break]

breathe in, breathe out, he thought to himself as he turned back to the river where he was watching the fish. his heart was still pounding from the shock, but he didn't feel in danger anymore. in fact, it was nice... the calm and relaxing atmosphere that lionstar brought with her.[break][break]

it was a little strange to hang out with his leader, but if this was a consistent thing, then vipereye could get used to it. as she asked him if there was anything on his mind he took a moment to think about it. was there anything on his mind? well... there was a lot on his mind, but none that he would want to share with her. at least not about falconfang, shadpaw, or ashblaze. at this moment there was no point. he didn't have any proof and they were respectable enough cats.[break][break]

he turned to look at her and shrugged lightly after a few moments of silence. which of course was normal for vipereye. taking his time to think about what to say was his natural response. he wanted to respect the other cat with his words, it was just the way his mind worked. and not to mention he was quiet anyway.[break][break]

"lionstar, there's a lot on my mind, but most of it stress-inducing and i imagine that you didn't come out here to have stressful conversations." he said quietly. he didn't really know how his leader would react to that, but hopefully, she wouldn't ask for more. at least not now.

[attr="class","achee"] [attr="class","castleonthehill"] ❝ he watched the morning sun rise from the middle of the windclan camp clearing, waiting for the morning patrol to come back so that he could send out the next group. he was up early and up late, and this was where he thrived. he loved the life of being deputy. the activity that he got running around checking to make sure his clan was moving smoothly and safely was perfect for him. but as soon as the morning patrol came back he spoke to the leader of the next one and then nodded his respect and moved away from the camp entrance. he wanted to see how his sister was doing. her kits were close to apprentice age. and swankit was the one that he worried about the most. she wasn't that interested in becoming a warrior at all. which worried him. becoming a warrior was a respectable position even if deputy and leader were not attainable. however, swankit was only interested in singing. which made no sense to him because there was no practical use for singing in the clan. she couldn't hunt by singing, couldn't fight by singing. about as much as she could do with it would be to inspire her clan through her voice. but even then it wasn't that strong of a case for why singing should be her main lot in life. she lived in a clan, not out by herself as a loner. her job would be to protect her family. he made his way to the nursery and peeked inside. his eyes searching for the white fur of his sister, with six little lumps beside her. "swankit." he hissed softly. he wanted to spend some time with her, maybe try to find a possible mentor for her who might be able to get through to her. or to understand her and find a way to integrate singing into her apprenticeship. but he still wasn't sure how. ✉ tag -- ( Skyclad with Swankit )
