[attr="class","appFIELD"]Since kithood, Ivystar has always been a tenacious cat. She knows what she wants, and will go after it with a bulldogged determination and stubbornness. This often led to her frequent reprimands as a kit and apprentice, as she was not afraid to speak out against higher ranking cats than her. Her pride often prevented her from apologizing or rolling over, which resulted in her taking perhaps worse punishments than she would have otherwise.
As she grew, this stubbornness began to focus into a dedication that soon revealed itself to be a strength as well as an occasional weakness. She was focused on her job as a warrior, and was happily the first to volunteer for any work that needed to be done. Her physical strength and build additionally aided her in this, and soon she began to stand out among the crowd.
As leader, Ivystar is known for her deep pride in ThunderClan (as well as her short temper and lack of patience). She has a tendency to see things only in black and white with little room for compromise - you’re either with ThunderClan, or against them.

[attr="class","appBAR"]
[attr="class","appFIELD"]Ivykit was born to two respected warriors, Yarrowpelt and Snowpine, alongside a sister, Fernkit. They were strong and healthy kits, though Ivykit was quite a bit more rambunctious than her sister, who preferred peace and quiet to noice and activity.
Upon becoming an apprentice, Ivypaw was mentored to the deputy at the time, Gravelclaw. He was stern and stoic, but a good mentor who could see where Ivypaw’s strengths lay. Though they often butted heads due to Ivypaw’s naturally combative nature, in truth she respected him deeply, and often could be heard bragging about his exploits to the other apprentices.
Snowpine died just as Ivypaw and Fernpaw were to be named warriors, in childbirth with Yarrowpelt’s second litter. None of the kits survived, and Yarrowpelt was understandably devastated. It was Ivypaw’s first experience with death, and it steeled her heart. She came out of the experience a little colder, a little more closed off, but determined not to let grief destroy her. It was her constant prodding and hissing that finally drew Yarrowpelt out of his depression, and though he returned to warrior duties, it was clear his heart had been buried with Snowpine.
Soon after, Ivypaw was named Ivyfrost, in honor of her mother and her icy pelt. She was a proud warrior, and rarely deferred to the authority of more senior cats. That said, she always respected Gravelclaw, almost more so than the ThunderClan leader at the time, Robinstar.
On particularly dry summer, a brief storm and flash of lightning caught the forest on fire. Though it did not burn long, it swept through the ThunderClan camp, and several cats lost their lives. Those that did escape took refuge across the river in RiverClan. Gravelclaw and Icyfrost returned back to the burning camp to try and rescue a missing elder. They found the elder already dead from smoke inhalation, and as they struggled to return, a burning branch fell on Gravelclaw.
Though Ivyfrost managed to free him and drag him back to refuge, he would succumb to his burns before the sun had risen the next morning. His death was perhaps more painful to Ivyfrost than her own mother’s, and she mourned him more openly as well. It came as a shock, therefor, when by dusk that same day, Robinstar was naming her deputy.
Though certainly Ivyfrost had secretly held ambitions of being deputy, she always had dreamt it would be under Gravelstar. As such it was with a bittersweet acceptance that she rose to her role as deputy.
Rebuilding the camp and helping the clan mourn and heal together was a good focus for Ivyfrost. It was clear leadership well suited her, and her bossiness began to temper into a more quietly strong authority. She was well respected by the clan, and for many moons there was peace. When Robinstar’s last life was lost, it was due to an errant monster that came during a simple border skirmish between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. The monster struck Robinstar and took his last two lives, ending the battle immediately. Though Ivyfrost was not present, she always blamed ShadowClan for this tragedy.
That very evening she traveled to the Moonstone to get her nine lives, returning as Ivystar. 30 moons has passed since that time, and she has proven herself to be a strong and dependable leader. Various events have led to losses of several of her lives, but none but her and her medicine cat know how many she has left.

[attr="class","appOOCfield"]Leader Blurb: Ivystar is a brash and proud leader, who's main policy is 'ThunderClan first'. She often sees things in black and white, and isn't likely to be quick to compromise. Her borders are firm, and she will defer to trusting her own clanmates before any others. Within her clan, Ivystar is known as a strict but respectable leader. She takes the warrior code very seriously, and has no patience for cross-clan relationships. That said, she has been known to entertain the idea of allowing a rouge or loner to join the ranks if they prove themselves to be useful and loyal. On the other hand, she would be hard pressed to ever allow a kittypet in. Clan Relations: ThunderClan has a POSITIVE relationship with RiverClan. Ivystar has never forgotten the aide they gave during the fire, or how hard their medicine cat fought to save Gravelstar. ThunderClan has a NEGATIVE relationship with ShadowClan. Ivystar believes them to be shifty and untrustworthy, and still blames them for the death of Robinstar. |
