howdy, welcome to my rumor mill! have you ever wanted to send characters on a wild goose chase and then completely destroy their spirits by revealing it isn't in fact true? well do i have a present for you! every two weeks, i'll make up two new rumors that anyone can use; including guests! here, i'll describe the premise and give you some potential endings.

GHOST HUNTING a haunting experience Deep within the Oak Forest, one of the larger trees has a large gaping hole at ground-level in the middle of it. Inside the tree, there's a weird stone slab with some etchings in it. Those who have gotten closer to the tree have reported ghostly wailings and moanings. Everyone who has gotten closer to the tree have fled from the site. No one knows what's going on within this tree. Is StarClan trying to contact ThunderClan? Possible endings to get you started: ✰ It's a trick that older warriors play on the younger ones (bonus points if the whole thing is made up and it's just a ploy to jumpscare already tense warriors) ✰ The noises come from the little holes within the tree, so when it gets super windy, noises can be heard. ✰ It actually is StarClan, but the spirit is super shy and stutters/stumbles over their words so much so it sounds like wails and moans. now rumor has it she ain't got your love anymore ulla

CURE ONE CURE ALL NOT CLICKBAIT: panacea?! A rumor has been traveling around camp that there's a panacea herb that can cure anything. Although it's a rare flower, it's been said to only grow in shadowclan. There are no known "guardians" of the herb, but it's said to grow deep within the swamps. Apparently it "can only be found if someone has pure of heart" whatever that means. No medicine cats have been told of this herb from StarClan. Is the herb even real? Possible endings to get you started: ✰ It's a trap; it's actually juniper berries that have been covered in other, multiple juices from berries. Vicious rogues have set this trap to surround exhausted warriors and kill them. ✰ The panacea doesn't exist, but there is a gorgeous flower in its place. ✰ It is a new type of herb, but its one use is helping infected wounds. now rumor has it she ain't got your love anymore ulla

HIDDEN TREASURE all that sparkles is mine In one of the rolling hills, there's said to be a small opening - a large warrior won't be able to fit through. It leads to a twisting tunnel. Only the bravest have ventured into the tunnel, but few have made it all the way through. It's said that the further you get into the tunnel, you can hear frantic scratching against the tight walls and disembodied gasps of pain. Though it's said to all be worth it; at the end of the tunnel, there's a large blueish rock that seems to self glow. Apparently the rock can grant you one wish. What's making all these noises? Possible endings to get you started: ✰ The rock is bio-luminescent; the rock covers a rather large hole, where it's able to soak up light. It is warm to the touch. ✰ A frail warrior has been blinded by a fox and stumbled into the hole. They have been lost for a day and struggle to talk, so they scrape their claws against the wall and wail out when they hear someone coming into the tunnel. ✰ Although the rock does not give you any wishes, it does appear to be a lucky charm. now rumor has it she ain't got your love anymore ulla

MONSTER MASH nessie?! Rumor has it that RiverClan waters go much deeper than expected. Specifically, in one spot, near the Sunning Rocks. It's said that there a ravenous monster lurks, ready to pull in anyone who comes close to it. Its legs are long and will wrap around your paws. Everyone who has survived this encounter, has come up spluttering for air; even those strong swimmers have struggled with fighting back the monster. If one cat isn't able to defeat it what about a whole patrol? Possible endings to get you started: ✰ It's actually a huge growth of seaweed lurking at the body of the river. With how large its gotten, it's no surprise that some might think it's a ravenous monster. ✰ There isn't anything in the river; instead, there's a small underwater entrance to an underground cave that appears to be someone's hiding place. NEW RULERS local thugs are mean, more at 11. Life was normal until a new band of loners appeared. They seem to be a ragtag group of youngsters, who think that they're invincible. However, no one has gotten a clear description of them; it varies from source to source. Rumor has it that they're stealing kittens and young cats to forge their own "clan," by any means necessary. Whatever that even means. Are these loners kidnapping these young kits? Possible endings to get you started: ✰ There are a new bunch of loners, however, they mostly keep to themselves. More so than usual... Could they be hiding from someone? ✰ The loners are a myth parents tell their kits to keep them in line.
